Description

Ventilating patient through LMA then placing 6.0 ETT over scope through LMA into trachea allowing for intubation through LMA

Introduction
  1. Induce patient and place LMA, assessing for adequate ventilation
  2. Place 2 - 6.0 ETT’s together, one with a cuff and one without, making one long 6.0 ETT
  3. Place pediatric bronchoscope through these tubes
  4. Remove circuit and place scope with ETT’s through the LMA into proper position in trachea
  5. Once in proper position remove bronchoscope, followed by the LMA while maintaining proper position of the ETT
  6. Remove uncuffed 6.0 ETT and attach circuit connector to the remaining 6.0 cuffed ETT and assess for proper ventilation
